School Council

Our school council consist of ten children – two children from each class from Year One to Year Six.

We have participated in changing the school PE kit, changing the dinner menus, making decisions on the decorating of the pupil’s toilets and we work closely with the BikeIt Team encouraging others to walk to school or to use bikes and scooters. These are just a few things that we have participated in.

The school council improves pupils and teachers relationships, demonstrates good communication skills, decision making and teamwork. Pupils have pride in themselves and in our school. Everyone’s opinions count towards making a better school environment. The school council makes a difference.

Recently, the School Council came together during Kindness and Antibullying week and discussed how we can ensure bullying does not take place and this led to the pupils wanting to share their ideas of what bullying is through a poster.
